Okay, so.

Despite having read (and admittedly being deeply bothered by) this, I still have no interest in moving entirely over to DW. That being said, however, I do have a Dreamwidth account, made some months ago but just recently updated with an import of all my LJ stuff. Anyone who wants to add me there, go right ahead, but know I'll still be using this journal as my main for just about everything. Right now I mostly intend to keep the DW account as a backup/plan B in case more serious shit goes down here on LJ. To those who don't have a DW but are interested in getting one after all this-- there are plenty of places where invite codes can be had, and I have a million billion of them myself that I am willing to hand out whenever I get the chance to find 'em again.

In totally unrelated, less peeve-worthy news, I think my calves are getting all muscley. Aww yeah.

tl;dr - LJ got caught using shady script to alter links on journals so they could rake in ad revenue, took it down, and now they're using even shadier script that's harder to catch to do the exact same thing.

Also, seconding the urges for more people to start using AdBlocker and NoScript.
