This is some pretty important shit you might want to check out.

tl;dr - LJ got caught using shady script to alter links on journals so they could rake in ad revenue, took it down, and now they're using even shadier script that's harder to catch to do the exact same thing.

Also, seconding the urges for more people to start using AdBlocker and NoScript.

Can you set AdBlocker and NoScript to only block certain sites? I don't like the idea of denying every site I visit that has ads their dues. :|a I'm too lazy to look it up atm also.

I have mine set to block outboundlink.* (and something else but I don't remember exactly what atm).

You could also use the admin console command pointed out in antumbral's post, though I hear it's a pain to do it across RP journals.

Yes, though I know for a fact that Chrome also has an AdBlocker extension/plug-in/whathaveyou. idk about NoScript, though. and omg that icon is so cute
