I'm thinking about getting a paid account.

I'm not sure why.

In other news, writing in character is fun.

To solely the Dark Regenerist, and no other,

As per your request, I have assembled a list of what I believe to be the Knights of the Order of the Falcon’s (I like to call them KOF for short) greatest priorities, as far as capture and control is concerned.  Naturally, I did not include beings, weapons, or powers that may already be in their possession, so feel free to believe that those that follow are safe at the moment.  Then again, if they are being targeted by KOF, then they are probably being targeted by others as well.  Forget what I wrote about the “safe at the moment” bit.

1) The whole of Tierrhagan.  Perhaps this should have been obvious from the very start, considering how often the Falcon itself has attempted to claim this planet.  After all, it is essentially, literally a gigantic ball of mana, even if there is intelligent life and civilization dwelling on its surface.  Know also that, although it has successfully defended itself in the past, the absence of two certain deities and the nature of those living on the planet compromises its current security against another attack.

2) The three catalysts.  I will not disclose their names here, for reasons you can probably discern.  I tried to guarantee their safety long ago by transporting them to Tierrhagan, but, as you already know, the results were, well, “cataclysmic.”  (Still, it cannot be said that such results were entirely unfortunate, when one considers the alternate Fate that might have befallen that world.)  Since that turbulent time, they have been protected just as I wished, but now they have grown and are anxious to see what worlds lie beyond the one they have known all their lives.  Such a thing is common for youth, but I fear for their safety nevertheless.

3) The Sword, and components thereof.  Yes, this one is possibly even more obvious than Tierrhagan itself.  However, this Sword is also perfectly capable of defending itself, as well as eluding KOF’s attempts to capture it.  It is rather clever for a weapon, and it has the added bonus of being carefully guarded by one of nearly equal power.  Thus, it ranks slightly lower than the others, but still higher than normal due to its past, its one vulnerability, and its Tierrhan origin.

4) The Dark Regenerist.  Not necessarily you in particular, dear boy, but rather the power of the Dark Regenerist itself.  Remember that small incident with the Dragon King?  If you are not careful, it can and will happen again, and I can certainly guarantee that KOF will be more keen on using your powers for more destructive purposes than what the Dragon King had in mind.

5) The projection of Fate.  I was a bit surprised to find myself as a potential target, but I know better than anyone else that Fate cannot lie.  Of course, I am not entirely certain what good I would do them, since I really have no powers to speak of, apart from my occasional hobbies and the knowledge I have gained over the eras.  Strike that—on second thought, such things would make me a viable target.  I should be more careful from now on.  Do you think Azazel would protect me?

6) The Icy Crown, and those who live there.  Surely you are aware by now of the strange happenings there in the Cyclic Realm, although one of your contracts shields me (and perhaps even you!) from knowing exactly what it is that is going on.  Still, I can make a safe guess, especially when it comes to the Fate of a certain former resident—and by “former,” I mean from a few thousand years ago.  I think you get the general idea.  Anyway, it is not just KOF—the entire Cyclic Realm is anxious to discover just what has taken root in that “barren” land.  Judging by the repeated failure of various expeditions, I would guess that whatever is up there is not keen on being found out.

7) The so-called “berith bank.”  Ah, a classic.  It is hard to imagine that Balore Bliss could have gotten his hands on such a valuable item before the Falcon was even aware of its existence, but I have found time and time again that truth is, indeed, stranger than fiction.  The item has long fallen out of Bliss’s hands, however, and currently roams freely.  Like the aforementioned Sword, however, it is not only capable of defending itself, but also quite skilled at dropping under the radar.  Thus, I do not believe you should concern yourself in particular with this target (unless, for some reason, you are in sore need of black berith).

8) Hresia’s whereabouts.  The former Goddess has done a good job of making herself disappear when she is no longer needed.  However, although she is no longer Goddess of her realm, she still has all the powers of a great deity as she once was.  It is only natural that KOF would take interest, especially considering her roots as one of Tierrhagan’s first deities, but good luck to them—now that she has been rightfully replaced and duly exiled, she is simply nowhere to be found.  I would be very surprised if even you were to find her.

9) “Project Nova.”  Have you heard of it?  It is an experiment of such little significance that I was surprised to list it here, being merely another scientific search in the Cyclic Realm for the perfect energy source.  However, I came to realize its significance when I learned it was but an unofficial extension of another, more famous series of similar experiments—surely you know the one, so I will not name it here.  Of “Nova” I currently know little else, but KOF has targeted other subjects of this series, and so there is no reason to assume they will not target this one.

10) The source of the Gaines plague, and how to spread it.  It is true that the Gaines disease was a nasty beast, and came so very close to destroying all organic life in the world in which it originated, which would make it an extremely valuable target for use by KOF.  However, they simply cannot get their hands on it.  Why?  The plague and its remnants have long been purged from that Earth, and the one responsible for its inception is no longer in possession of that knowledge.  Gaines can never rise again, and it is not clear whether KOF is entirely aware of this fact, which makes it an amusing thought indeed.  However, be on your guard—the possibility still exists that one could attempt to strike a contract which would allow them to gain knowledge from the past of this disease.  It is up to you to keep such an event from occurring.

There you have it—the top ten potential targets of the Knights of the Order of the Falcon, as judged by Fate.  I hope you are satisfied with my results.

With faith and Fate,
you know who

P.S.  Would it be too much for you to visit every once in a while?  I have been terribly lonely since Amy set off on his own, and you know how your brothers are.  At least Azazel is considerate enough to drop by for an occasional cup of tea.

P.S.S. to the man to whom this letter is not addressed—yes, I mean you.  As far as KOF is concerned, your existence is old news.  After all, there are much more powerful targets to be considered—I have just listed ten of them!  However, the targets I have listed as nos. 6 and 9 should be of particular significance to you, and you will soon know why.  You may strike that, you will be skeptical at first, but protecting these two targets should and will be in your greatest interest.  Although it may not be my place to do so, I apologize for whatever pain this Fate will bring you.
