look look I wrote something else

Another IC letter, in pretty much exactly the same vein as this one (even with the same sender/addressee!). However, this one might actually have some bearing on stuff in AIMRP-land, so I apologize to anyone who might have no idea what's going on here. :D;;
To solely the Dark Regenerist, and no other,
I must begin by saying what a pleasant surprise it was to hear from you again—and not just the fact that I have heard from you, but what I have heard, as well. It is simply wonderful that you and your brother (Bifrons, at least, for I cannot speak for the others) are getting along again. Despite his failure at the bridle, I always knew he had such great potential, even surpassing your other siblings; it comes as no surprise to hear of his astounding success in Anchor, nor of your alliance with him (though I must admit, the name he has chosen for himself does strike me as odd). With each of your skills at the other’s employ, I am certain you will both do very well for yourselves throughout the coming hardships.
However, I am also certain that you did not write me with the intent of receiving only you and your brother’s praises in return. To answer your question in the broadest sense, yes, the hardships that lie in wait are many, and KOF (remember my abbreviation for them?) will most assuredly be behind most, if not all of them.
I am perfectly aware of your concerns with Balore Bliss, as well as your brother’s, but allow me to make this clear—that man is certainly a troublemaker, but he is hardly deserving of all of your concern. Though he will continue to grasp for power within Anchor, and though he will make more trouble for Orion in the near future, when taking your narrow area of interest into consideration, he and his activities lie entirely outside it. In other words: yes, he is still a danger, but he is not an immediate danger to those whose Fates you have asked after, nor is he the one whom you ought to be most worried about.
But I will mention one thing you must keep in mind. Do you recall the “berith bank” I mentioned in my last letter? As it turns out, my investigation was not quite as thorough as it should have been. While the so-called “berith bank” has indeed long fallen out of Balore’s hands, I overlooked another man in his chain of command with similar abilities. Although he does not have quite the same power, Bliss continues to hold him under sway—and in the absence of the “berith bank” proper, I suspect that he will only aim to perfect those abilities in this man. His attempts may well lead only to the man’s death, but I strongly advise you to keep an eye on him nevertheless.
In any case—on to the business you have asked of me. I had first thought to question your interest in this woman’s Fate, until I took a closer look at it for myself. It is a finely fractured thing, though more structured and defined than most others; for all its split paths and dead ends, each of those ends is so vastly vivid and unique that I must marvel at her luck for having safely progressed this far. Upon further investigation, it is apparent that this is a trait she shares with her brother, and for how distantly they have diverged at times, I have reason to believe that the fracturing of her Fate is a direct result of being so closely entwined with his own. Clearly Fate does not favor either of them, but it would seem the Rowlands have persevered in spite of that, and fortune has rewarded the both of them.
As always, the Knights should be your primary concern. Your brother has uncovered their “Lance & Wain” plot, yes? That venture has been abandoned completely, it seems, although it is difficult to tell at present whether they will make another attempt at claiming some power over or within the Orion Guild. It is true that they have shown a marked interest in Elizabeth Rowland, as you feared, but this is for reasons other than her association with the starry hunters. Moreover, that marked interest is merely secondary next to her brother.
On the surface, the superiors of KOF have expressed interest only in the lode of Tierrhan moonstone beneath their base, and they continue their efforts to extract both it and whatever lies within it. However, surely you are aware of Risor Midas’s “pet project”; while he has only succeeded thus far in producing a variety of homunculi for various purposes, as well as distributing the King Gray’s vast power amongst them, he has yet to land his true target.
That target (as I am sure you already know) was Solomon’s leech of an assistant, the one who assumed the identity of “Quenby,” and his power—although that power no longer belongs to him but rather his chosen protégé, Arthur Rowland. As such, it is reasonable to assume that Midas now seeks Rowland rather than Quenby, and I am sure he will stop at nothing to obtain him. Now, Arthur is very fortunate to have a wide circle of very powerful associates who are just as likely to stop at nothing to protect him, and I doubt that KOF is really so foolish as to engage their wrath by attempting to take him directly.
But where Arthur’s protection is vast and impenetrable, his sister’s is not nearly so. There are a multitude of dead ends still in wait, and it is unclear just how much longer her fortune can carry her through Fate’s path.
If there are others for whom you are concerned, please, do not hesitate to ask. (In fact, I would not protest you coming to visit next time instead of just sending me another letter; be sure to tell Bifrons the same!) Their paths are currently clouded to me, but it will not take much effort for the projection of Fate to see the turns their routes will take.
P.S. Do advise the general, upon his return, that even the most poisonous heart can be remedied—but I would not advise him to try the same with the fire captain, for he is likely to get burned. Also, do tell him that Azazel wishes to meet with him in regards to his godhood.
P.P.S. to those who should not be reading this letter—yes, you. (Did you know the abbreviation is supposed to be “post post script” rather than “post script secundus?” I must admit, I had no idea until Azazel corrected my last message!) If you gain nothing else from this letter, know this: neither I nor the Dark Regenerist (nor even Bifrons, nor their other siblings) has any power to interfere with whatever Fate befalls either of the Rowlands. I apologize for whatever pain this knowledge may bring you, but remember—that power lies not with us but rather all others, including yourselves. I advise you to make good use of it.
