Known history:
RAU#[redacted], known hereon as the “Demonic Empire” (despite worlds with much similar names), was a small world that existed almost solely for the purpose of regulating the four common elements of many other worlds’ sorcerous systems. Its inhabitants, despite their generally benevolent nature, came to be known as “Greater Demons” by human wayfarers for their superhuman powers and the monstrous appearance of their secondary forms. The four rulers of this world each held domain over a respective element: the flame-bound, earth-bound, water-bound, and sky-bound spheres. At this time, rule of these spheres was transferred through a system of traditional inheritance, with power passing to the eldest legitimate child.
Estara was one such child, born to the ruler of the sky-bound sphere. However, for reasons that are now lost to time, that ruler refused to recognize a female heir, instead naming his younger son Sornyxx as successor. Estara grew to adulthood in bitterness and jealousy, but despite all her strength and training, could not overcome the forces that guarded her younger sibling when the time of his succession finally came. She was summarily sentenced to exile and banished from that world altogether.
But this exile would not deter her; it would only drive her to insanity and fuel her determination. She abducted a group of Greater Demons and used them to create lesser-minded homunculi, known as “Lesser Demons” (hence the title by which she came to be known, the “Lesser Demon Queen”), that were savagely bloodthirsty but wholly obedient to her command. She first used this force of Lesser Demons to enslave the rokh species, then turned her power to the Demonic Empire once more.
The only survivors of the slaughter were the sphere rulers at that time, including Sornyxx. Although the Queen had slain nearly every other inhabitant of the Demonic Empire, she had not succeeded in killing her true target; this only served to enrage her further, and likely led to further splintering of her mind. From here on, she was determined to take out her vengeance not only on Sornyxx, but also the other three Greater Demons who remained.
The first of these she found was Kryythe, ruler of the flame-bound sphere, who at the time was residing in RAU#000301. This brought her into direct conflict with Setsaru Makhan, registered primary resident of that RAU and reincarnation of the Malkarian “Guardian of All” [see entry: Malkarian creation lore, Alliance rule]. She warred with Setsaru for several years, even once becoming blinded for her efforts, but neither one could overcome the other; the conflict finally culminated in a catastrophic battle that took not only her life, but also the lives of several residents of RAU#000301.
However, in striking a deal to restore the lives of her lost allies, Setsaru inadvertently restored the Demon Queen to her original condition, as well. The Queen found herself resurrected in a remote area of the war-torn world known as Anaaius (RAU#[redacted]), and it was there that she decided to base her next claim for power. Working in alliance with the Seraphic angel Aimhlaide [see entry: Seraphic Realm, Seraphic Destroyer vs Azazel the Destroyer], she successfully infiltrated the Gevuran national military, won over a massive number of their troops, and used this force to hijack Gevura’s largest, most powerful airship, the Russati.
She had planned to use this power to wreak new terror on the whole of Anaaius, thereby making her presence known and provoking the Greater Demons into resurfacing—but she made a fatal error in attempting to ally with the “Silver Dragon,” notorious for having attempted to eradicate humans and other “lesser species” in that world. He gained her trust long enough to regain entry to Anaaius, from which he had been banished, and then betrayed and slew her.
From here, it is unclear as to exactly how she was restored to life a third time, except that she resurfaced in the city of Elysium under the new alias “Angela Thompson”; it is also believed that the Knights of the Order of the Falcon were involved in this resurrection, given Estara’s induction to their upper ranks soon afterward. In an ironic reversal of roles, she initially served alongside Savitarrahu [see entry: Arrabai] as trusted advisor and “second-in-command” to Aimhlaide, who by this time had become the Knights’ Superior.
She allied herself with Savitarrahu, who at this point had become dissatisfied with this state of affairs and was plotting to overthrow Aimhlaide. She aided her in this venture, and the two claimed the joint title of Superior, which they currently hold as of this writing. All other developments are either unknown or unconfirmed as of yet.
